- Matthew Weiner's first movie sounds exciting, right? Well, it's a romantic comedy starring Jennifer Aniston. That guy is sick of low ratings. Maybe he should direct the next Twilight movie.
- Peter Murphy plays a vampire in next year's Twilight movie! Cool. According to another actor, "everyone around says he just kicked ass." He's probably the oldest person in the movie by 30 years.
- Miss England loses her crown after getting in bar fight with Miss Manchester over a Gladiator.
- Early review of Richard Kelly's new movie The Box. It sounds nuts, and the plot somehow involves aliens. I can't wait!
- The Times profiles The Onion, during headline-writing session. Editors and writers are all white guys, "about half wearing T-shirts with something satirical printed on them."
- 911 dispatcher asks woman calling to report a drunk driver if she's driving behind them. Woman: "No, I am them." Dispatcher: "You am them?" Woman: "I don't want to hurt anybody. I'm drunk."
- Wired's review of DJ Hero. Cross-fader and scratching both sound cool, sounds like a lot of the music is good with a few duds (a B Boys/Foo Fighters mix?)
- Remember Shine, the rapper who took the fall for Puffy over the club shooting? He's getting deported to Belize, where his dad is the prime minister! Which hasn't counted for much in his legal affairs.
- NY1's Dominic "No momma's boy" Carter is in court today for beating up his wife. He wasn't on Inside City Hall last night.
- The new Man vs. Wild video game: run around the Arctic eating raw reindeer hearts, then search for the hotel with the best free skin products and mini-bar snacks.
- Ohio has stopped executions because they can't find doctors who will give them advice on how to kill people. Maybe they should be asking 11 year-old video gamers instead.
- Among the biggest declines in newspaper circulation are the Post, down 19%, and the Boston Globe, down 18.5%.

FDA bans alcoholic caffeine drinks because "caffeine may lead people to underestimate how drunk they are." No joke: remember when I drank all that Sparks and tried to watch Bourne Supremacy? Ugh.
